The main focus of the research team “UV radiation and total ozone” is to detect solar radiation, especially spectral UV radiation and its biological and medicinal effects. Furthermore the team works on the development of instruments to monitor UV radiation spectra, the influences of climate change on ground insolation and ozone layer development. The measured data provides a fundament for the research of diverse topics such as environment, climate, medicine and meteorology.
