Animal nutrition in the digital age
Digitalisation is profoundly changing agriculture and food production, and animal nutrition is no exception. Data-based systems, sensor technology and artificial intelligence are opening new ways to make feeding more precise, monitor animal performance more effectively and use resources more efficiently. This can reduce nutrient losses, lower environmental impact and improve animal welfare and economic efficiency.
At the same time, digital transformation raises key questions: How can data from feeding, animal husbandry and management be linked in a meaningful but also secure way? What skills do people in agriculture and consulting need to deal with these new technologies? And what limitations arise in an area that is subject to biological fluctuations?
The 24. BOKU- Symposium on Animal Nutrition 2026 is dedicated to these opportunities and challenges.
It offers a platform for discussing current scientific findings and practical applications. In addition to plenary lectures by renowned experts, we invite submissions of papers and posters – both on the general topic and on other relevant issues in animal nutrition.
We hope to see you again!
