• The baramundi kiosk gives you a simple way of installing software from our range of software (and more) yourself.
  • In addition, you can also start updates manually and thus control the time of the updates yourself.
  • Software titles can be released for the kiosk by your EDV-V. Please contact your EDV-V/IT-Admin.

install software via baramundi-Kiosk

  • A connection to the BOKU network is required (by cable or from the home office via VPN)
  • You may see the "baramundi Kiosk" icon on the desktop or in the start menu, which you can use to start the kiosk. Alternatively, you can also start the kiosk using the icon in the taskbar.

  • If you click on the symbol, the kiosk opens and you can select software that you would like to install.
Please only install software that you really need, otherwise the hard disk space will be unnecessarily full!
  • You can also search for software titles or filter by category in the left pane, the filter can be canceled by clicking on the category again.
  • By clicking on "Zuweisen", the relevant software will then be installed in the background and will be available to you after a few minutes.
  • If the required software is not displayed here in the kiosk, please contact your EDV-V. He/she can release software titles (and other jobs) for the kiosk.

start updates via Kiosk manually

If your IT-Admin has approved patch jobs for the kiosk:

At the bottom of the job list (or via Category: Patch) you will see the jobs "PATCH Windows (planned)" and "PATCH Managed Software (planned)".
You can use this to start a manual update at any time (assign both jobs). The next automatic update will then only run two weeks later.

Statusview

You can view the status of the assigned jobs via the "Aktuelles Gerät" tab.

It is displayed:

  • when a job was awarded
  • what status it is in at the moment
  • when the job is finished
