On 15 April 2026, a variety of master's degree programmes focusing on agriculture, food economics, horticulture, organic farming, viticulture and oenology will be presented. Following the presentations, there will be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the programmes and exciting projects.

Agricultural and Food Economy

2 pm – 3 pm 

The German-language Master's programme in Agricultural and Food Economy provides students with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in this dynamic and forward-looking professional field. The programme provides all the necessary training to work successfully across the entire agricultural and food industry value chain, from production and processing to marketing food products and shaping rural areas and agricultural policy.

The lecture will be held in German.

Horticultural Sciences

3 pm – 4 pm 

The international master’s programme in Horticultural Sciences focuses on the supply chains in horticulture, fruit growing and viticulture. Processing and product quality, horticultural quality management as well as marketing and nutrition aspects are the prevailing demands on research and teaching. Horticultural Sciences are an integrated discipline which focuses on the humans’ needs always keeping sustainability in mind. In future this calls for an increased interdisciplinary understanding of plant production, wellbeing, nutrition and environment; and furthermore cost effectiveness is required throughout. Graduates are to contribute to providing consumers with healthy, safe products of high quality.

Organic Agricultural Systems and Agroecology (AgrEco-Organic & EUR-Organic)

4 pm – 5 pm 

The English-language Master's programme in Organic Agricultural Systems and Agroecology offers students interdisciplinary theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in organic farming and agroecology. Students can either pursue a joint degree (EUR-Organic), studying at a partner university in addition to BOKU, or complete the Master's programme as a single degree (AgrEco-Organic) at BOKU only.

Viticulture, Enology and Wine Economics

5 pm – 6 pm 

The German-language Master's programme in Viticulture, Enology and Wine Economics imparts application-relevant knowledge and skills in the three focal areas of viticulture, enology and wine economics. The programme is offered jointly with Hochschule Geisenheim University (Germany) as a joint degree programme. Students acquire broad, interdisciplinary theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the fields of viticulture, enology and wine eonomics.
