From the vine to the wine: for the first time, undergraduate students can make their own wine at BOKU.
The students will manage themselves the 250 grapevines of the UFT vineyards (Tulln).
Two teams will produce the 2020 gemischter Satz red and the 2020 gemischter Satz white.
Pruning, soil management, canopy management, grape quality analyses, harvesting, and winemaking and sensory tastings are all on the program. Complementary excursions to nursery and surrounding vineyards, together with dialogues with viticulture and oenology experts will provide critical discussion and reflection.
