Alexander Wurzer is Professor at the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies (Centre d’Etudes Internationales de la Propriété Industrielle, CEIPI) at the University of Strasbourg, where he is responsible for all academic IP management training programs with the European Patent Office which are summarized in the IP Business Academy. Prof. Dr. Wurzer is Head of the Steinbeis Transfer Institute for Intellectual Property Management of the Steinbeis Academy and he is Managing Partner at WURZER & KOLLEGEN GmbH. Alex is Chairman of DIN committees DIN 77006 for quality in IP management and DIN 77100 for patent valuation. He is a member of the Board of the German Institute of Invention e. V. (D.I.E.) and Spokesman of the Board of Trustees awarding the Rudolf Diesel Medal, the oldest innovation award in Europe. He is also a jury member for the 2018 German Innovation Award of the German Design Council. He is a Fellow at the Alta Scuola Politecnica in Milan / Turin Polytechnic and a Member of the IP Assessment Expert Group of the European Commission and member of the high-growth technology business initiative of the European Patent Office.
