"120 Years of the University of Natural Resources" Fund

The fund "120 Years of the University of Natural Resources" supports and rewards outstanding research achievements that correspond to the profile of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna and encompass the fields of soil science, forest ecology, silviculture, forest growth, forest engineering, forest protection and wood research.

Specific purposes of the fund are:

a)    Funding of research projects of professors, researchers and students of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna;

b)    Recognition awards for outstanding master's theses, dissertations and habilitations not older than 2 years.

The projects to be funded and the theses to be awarded prizes are selected by the fund’s board of trustees. In accordance with a resolution by the board of trustees, only such research projects and theses are funded that (i) are of outstanding scientific value, but also (ii) represent concrete practical implementation and application possibilities.

Up to 20,000 euros are to be allocated. The decision on the distribution of the funding amounts lies with the board of trustees.

The funding to be awarded may be used to cover material, personnel and travel costs directly related to the project.
