This progamme has two specialization options of 90 ECTS, to be chosen after the 1st semester (30 ECTS). The specialization “Soil biogeochemistry and global change” is organized by Ghent University, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU, Vienna) and the University of Göttingen and leads to a joint MSc-diploma issued by these 3 universities.

Programme structure of Specialization "Soil biogeochemistry and global change":

1st semester:              Soil fundamentals at Ghent University
(30 ECTS)
2nd semester: Sustainable land management at BOKU, Vienna
(18 ECTS mandatory courses, 12 ECTS elective courses)
3rd semester: Biogeochemical consequences for global change at University of Göttingen
(18 ECTS mandatory courses, 12 ECTS elective courses)
4th semester: Master thesis
(30 ECTS)
