Content

The course is mainly for students of Food Science and Biotechnology (217/417). One or two companies in the fields of food , bio, or energy technology or in the field of waste management are visited.

Previous knowledge expected

successful completion of mechanical and thermic process engineering is advised

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

The aim of the excursion lies on the chemical engineering aspects.
The students get an overview on the brach of industry and learn how the processes are influenced.
Aim of the excursion is to get an overview about technical details as well as time schedules of the production. Moreover, quality management and logistics are adressed in an industrial environment.
