Biology and damaging effects of plant-sucking and gall-inducing arthropods, pests of buds, leaves, shoots, twigs, seeds and roots, phloem- and wood-inhabiting insects on coniferous and diciduous forest tree species. Selected topics of forest pathology (needle, bark and wilt diseases, endophytes, Phytophthora species, mycorrhiza).

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Knowledge of guilds of biotic damaging agents occurring on native forest tree species, their biology, epidemiology and damaging effects as well as abilities to identify them and to recommend and initiate control measures.
