1) Basic knowledge and pomological development
2) Methods of fruit growing and cultivation
3) Origin and representation of older and new varieties of different fruit kinds
and their usability: pome or hard fruit, stone fruit, nut fruits, small fruit
4) Molecular Methods of cultivar evaluation
5) Exercises to fruit quality and molecular methods (compulsory attendance!)

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

The student:
• gain the knowledge about fruit varieties cultivated in Central Europa
• understand the usability of diversity of fruit trees and cultivars
• can learn about descriptive and molecular methods for the identification of cultivars
