In the course, which is strongly co-organized by students, we address various topics of climate communication. In order to gain a comprehensive understanding, the topic is examined from an inter- and transdisciplinary approach based on academic discourse, the support of communication experts and the perspectives of civil society. In order to promote practical learning, students can put what they have learned in the units into practice and develop their own climate story.
The following topics will be covered during the course: Introduction to climate communication, Climate communication - dos and don'ts, Climate emotions and communication psychology , Overview of climate disinformation, Climate journalism, Campaign work by NGOs, Climate communication and climate justice, Climate dialog: Climate talks in everyday life
