Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Students:
• describe land use, know the spectrum of species, evaluate
quality and output of resources, assess environmental influences
• know the fundamentals of crop farming, grassland management, agricultural engineering in plant, vegetable und fruit production, animal husbandry, agricultural construction and labor management
• know about cattle, pig, poultry, sheep, goats and small animals husbandry,
• outline the principles of organic farming
• know legal regulations and principles
• describe soil fertility and plant nutrition
• design crop rotations
• think about resource conservation
• differentiate between integrated, conventional, organic and ecological plant protection
• give examples for harmful organisms and choose control measures
• are aware of future challenges of agricultural engineering
