Previous knowledge expected

Basic anorganic chemistry

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Students are able to identify important organic compound classes and have basic knowledge of their chemical structure and typical reactions. They master the basics of organic chemistry, natural product chemistry and biochemistry.
Students acquire basic knowledge of chemical nomenclature and organic reaction mechanisms. They have the ability to apply basic concepts of organic and biochemistry to examples from the "chemistry" of agriculture, wood and forestry. The essential basic knowledge of the principles of metabolic pathways (control possibilities of the organism, external influences, malfunctions) is available.
