The participants of the course will take part in the international course called "GLOBAL SEMINAR". The topics we will discuss during the course are: food culture and obesity, GMO in agriculture, advantages and disadvantages of the organic food system. You will take part in four video conferences and you will write three essays about your learning experience with each topic. And you will write a final paper on a specific topic about global sustainability. During the videoconferences you will share your perspective on the topics with American students from University of Florida A & M, University of Georgia, USA and Virginia Tech.

Basic knowledge about scientific and technology knowledge concerning agricultural practices and food science. Basic economic and social science knowledge.

To work with topics around global sustainability. Apply systemic knowledge, train interdisciplinary analysis and, international and interculturell teamwork and decision making by use of vidoeconferences and webbased e-learning. You learn to express your opinion based on scientific facts and theories by writing short opinion essays. Flipped classroom: You get scientific articles in preparation of class room meetings, which are going to be discussed together.
