- The course replaces former compulsory field trips 731363 and 735300

Field trip business administration and marketing:
• Imparting real decision situations in agricultural enterprises and agri-food businesses
• Discussion of decision situations with decision makers


Field trip agricultural and food policy, regional development and rural sociology:
Within this excursion agricultural enterprises are visited, which have specialised on certain products or on some innovative marketing concept. Then again we also will get to know institutions that aim to support the regional economy or the regional tourism as well as to actively conduct rural development. At the same time an overview about dissimilar rural development projects is given and we will analyse how these projects can get constructed.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Field trip business administration and marketing:
• Description and analysis of decision situations in agri-food businesses
• Elaboration of individual respectively group solutions for selected case and project studies
• Strengthen the capacity for implementing theoretical and methodical knowledge

Field trip agricultural and food policy, regional development and rural sociology:
• Visit and analysis of selected rural development examples
• Discussion of actual problems in food policy
• Critical reflection of actual developments threatening rural areas based on meetings with practical initiatives and projects
