After completion of this course the participants understand the basics and tasks of quality management and how elements like quality policy, quality design, quality control, quality improvement and quality assurance are connected.
The participants know the steps how quality standards and management systems have been developed - up to Total Quality Management and Quality Awards.
They are aware of the importance of international norms and standards like ISO 9001. They know the requirements for documentation and their management.
They know the main differences between certification and accreditation.
The participants have knowledge on requirements and implementation of GMP, GLP, ISO 22000 and IFS (International Featured Standard Food).
The participants know the seven Quality Tools and seven Management Tools and are able to use and interpret them.
They know the central idea of an Environmental management and an Occupational health and safety management. They know the standards (ISO 14001, EMAS III, ISO 45001) and the main steps how to put them into practice.
The graduates understand the terms Food Fraud and Food Defense and the are able to describe preventive measures against Food Fraud and Food Defense.
They know possible models of crisis prevention systems, the contents of a contingency plan and the tasks of the crisis unit. They will be able to divide crises into risk categories and to know about the progress of a goods recall.
