Content

To successfully complete the bachelor seminar, you must actively participate in two seminar sessions. In the winter semester, decentralized sessions are offered, while in the summer semester there are 3-4 sessions for all students in the department. Please discuss your participation with your supervisor.

1) At the first appointment, you must present the concept of your bachelor's thesis. You can include methodological aspects, experimental approaches, initial results and interpretations, etc. and have the opportunity to discuss them.

2) At the second appointment, you should present and interpret the results of your bachelor's thesis. When interpreting, particular attention should be paid to the current state of knowledge / current literature and what you have done beyond that.

Please note that the presentation is also possible at the WABO-Student-Colloquium, the date is June 3, 2025

Please discuss the date of your presentation and the content of the talks with your supervisor and register with him/her before the start of the semester!

Registration in the summer semester: 5 working days before the planned date via e-mail to Andreas Holzinger, with title, abstract and supervisor.

The same time frame applies to both PowerPoint presentations (oral presentations) and posters (poster presentations):
10 minutes for the presentation + 5 minutes for discussion.

Please keep in mind that your bachelor's supervisor is your first point of contact and that this course is only for practicing presentations in front of an audience.
