BOKU-degree-holders in the spatially oriented fields should have a basic knowledge of remote sensing. It is not easy today to maintain a qualified overview of geodata, especially of remotely sensed data, as there is an information overload caused by a multitude of commercial data suppliers, and to be able to properly appraise the usefulness and the value of spatial data products. This course provides such an overview. The course should qualify the students as well-prepared partners of remote sensing specialists as a basis for interdisciplinary work.
