The course provides participants with an in-depth understanding of the linkages between climate change and different dimensions of security, such as food, water security, forage and human security. By the end of the course, participants will have developed a comprehensive understanding of the linkages between climate change and security, and the strategies and approaches needed to increase climate security.

Understanding the societal challenges in regions equally affected by climate change, environmental degradation, and conflict.
Knowing the linkages between climate change and security concepts (food security, human security, environmental security, national security).
Analyzing the linkages between climate change and human security using selected case studies and country examples.
Evaluating approaches, strategies and policies of the international community to enhance climate security.
