Topics on current issues of viticulture and oenology are presented:
Winter semester: Topics related to oenology
Summer semester: Topics related to viticulture
Project-oriented team work in small groups up to four people. The project group intensivley works on the proposed question following scientific rules.
In the frame of the bachelor seminar, the bachelor thesis is written by the project group according to the good scientific paractice including the reflection on the topic on the scientific and applied level. The group coordinates their work with their supervisor including the project plan, activity report, final presentation and the bachelor thesis itself. The bachelor thesis should also contain a reflection of the project, the project plan and personal experience of group dynamics.

Ideally the course is taken within the 5th and 6th study semester. Students should have passed already all agronomy related subjects of the study program.
The written bachelor thesis must be submitted before its presentation in the bachelor seminar.
- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

The students:
• apply scientific methods to address a research question
• learn the structure of a scientific thesis
• train in data acquisition, documenttion and analyses
• learn the statistical analyses, presentation and interpretation of results
• strengthen their ability to work in a team and learn to work project-structured
• use programs for literature search and management
• expand their knowledge
