The seminar will provide essential guidelines on the design and evaluation of scientific experiments, the handling and presentation of scientific results, the compilation of results with the aim of publication, and the procedure of publishing itself.

Participants have completed their Master thesis and are currently enrolled in a PhD program at BOKU University with a focus on conversion, characterization and utilization of renewable materials. The seminar is held in English.
- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

After completion of the seminar the students will dispose of an overview of essential tools for experimental design, evaluation, and publication. They will be able to identify critical points in the design of an experiment. They will dispose of tooly to reliably evaluate scientific data. They will dispose of hands-on expertise in the scientific publication process.
