This course is an introduction to basics in organic farming.

Basic knowledge in agriculture

The students are able to reconstruct basics about organic agriculture, as well as their structures and functions in different subsystems and disciplines e.g. soil fertility, conversion or animal husbandry, the differences to other land use methods, the strengths and challenges. They learn to describe and analysis organic farms. Therefore they are able to understand the system specific relations between subsystems of an organic agricultural farm. The lecture enables students for a further deepening of this agricultural method.
