Content

In "General crop production," the fundamentals of production and their interrelationships are discussed: climate, soil, water, nutrients, nutrient cycles, soil impact, soil water balance, erosion, sowing, crop rotation, and harvesting.
"Crop husbandry" follows: cereals, corn, sugar beet, potatoes, protein and oil crops, vegetables, and the fundamentals of breeding and field trials.
"Animal Production": Introduction to individual livestock species with their feed base, introduction to grassland farming, and business management principles.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Students acquire knowledge of the production-related and environmentally dependent fundamentals of plant and animal production.
