The seminar is organized in two parts.
1. Theoretical part
Introduction to theories relevant to the field of sociology of climate change and the study of scientific texts (Theory of Planned Behaviour, New Environmental Paradigm)
Introduction to quantitative research design and analysis of a sample questionnaire
2. Practical part
Development of research questions guided by the Theory of Planned Behaviour and New Environmental Paradigm (on basis of sample questionnaire and code book)
Analysis of a data using statistical software (on basis of sample questionnaire, codebook and dataset)
Presentation of results
- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

After successful completion of the course, the students will be able to apply widely used and novel theories and concepts of sociology of climate change (such as behavioral and behavioral change theories, agentic theories, cultural theory of risks) at different spatial and temporal scales and in different institutional, organizational and inter-relational contexts, and evaluate their advantages and limitations.
