Part 1
The main aims of this introductory obligatory course in the first semester are:
•Getting to know the other students of the program (as well as the lecturers) and their knowledge, experiences and skills related to organic agriculture systems and agroecology.
•Creating the environment for a joint debate and understanding of “organic agriculture systems and agroecology” with its actors, relations and current debates.
•Exchange on experiences related to BOKU courses and BOKU teachers, based on experienced “elder” students at various occasions, like e.g. the student party.
•
The format for part 1 is the course days as scheduled here Oct 8 – 11, 2025
Part 2
Between 23 of October 2025 and January 2026, the “European Network of Organic Agriculture University Teachers” (ENOAT), incl. BOKU, will organize a weekly course on Organic Production in Europe, featuring organic production in all those countries, where ENOAT members are active. The aim of this part 2 is creating the opportunity for discussing organic agriculture systems and agroecology under a European wide perspective together with students from various European universities.
