Content

Practical introduction to CAD for landscape architecture.
Depending on availability, the course will be held using either AUTOCAD or VECTORWORKS software.

All courses will take place in person in the computer rooms at Simonyhaus.

Note on the semester information in the curriculum:

Due to capacity limitations, this course is offered in both the summer AND winter semesters. (6 courses per semester)

Recommended semester: 3rd or 4th semester.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

After successfully completing the course, students will be able to read and understand plans in the field of landscape architecture.

They will be able to use the basic tools of CAD software for landscape architecture, recognise the relevant types of plans and apply digital plan drawing techniques.

In addition, students will have mastered the graphic and planning skills required to create and layout landscape architecture plans such as floor plans, sections and sectional views at different scales.

They will be able to edit different plan bases and create suitable templates for specific projects.
