Content

The programme is aimed at Masters students from different areas of biotechnology and encourages interdisciplinary collaboration in international teams. Throughout the summer semester, starting in March 2025, students will work on a biotechnological topic in online sessions and develop one biotechnological topic per team for a seminar. The seminars will be presented during the mobility phase (attendance week 23.6.-27.6.2025). Depending on the specialisation of the supervisors, the topics will cover the areas of environmental biotechnology, green biotechnology and medical biotechnology in order to ensure comprehensive support for the students during the collaboration. During the residential week, students visit leading biotechnology institutions, research laboratories and companies, gaining valuable insights into the latest developments in the field. This unique experience enhances academic learning while promoting global networking and hands-on exposure to biotechnology research and industry. One day of the mobility period is dedicated to student presentations and seminars.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Students read articles on a biotechnology topic such as environmental biotechnology, medical biotechnology or agricultural biotechnology. In addition to the articles provided, they acquire further knowledge to better understand the interrelationships. They will then prepare a presentation based on these articles to share their knowledge with others.
They will also be able to think critically about the topic, look at it from different angles and lead a discussion.
