The content is basics of chemical engineering. Engineering tools are shown. The course covers theoretical to practical aspects.
Active contribution to the lecture is desired - bring your notebook and calculator.
- Previous knowledge expected
-
good knowledge of mathematics and physisc
- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)
-
After finishing the lecture students are able....
- to identify and describe engineering processes and to describe process applications and unit operations. Pros and cons can bei discussed.
- to identify technical documentation (e.g. data sheets, P&IDs, drawings) and to evaluate technical information taken from the documents. Simple technical documents can be generated.
- to explain the effect of laws of conservation on processes. Equations to balance process systems can be defined and simple examples can be solved.
- to do simple calculation of processes and process components. Dimension and size of devices and applications can be determined and evaluated.
