The Bachelor's thesis at ILEN is based purely on a literature analysis.
The aim is to systematically present the current state of knowledge in a specific subject area. The basis for this is a comprehensive analysis of the knowledge published in specialist journals and scientific books on this subject area.
Group work and discussions on the following topics are also compulsory as part of the Bachelor's seminar:
- Source search and literature databases
- Structure and planning of a scientific paper
- Text design and layout
The Bachelor's thesis itself is an individual piece of work.

Students are familiar with the most important search media and can research international scientific publications and analyze them with regard to a specific question.
In addition, they are able to prepare and process complex issues and are familiar with strategies for opening up a new subject area.
Students can structure a longer scientific paper and write a scientific paper based on the literature analysis.
They are able to cite correctly and completely and provide correct references.
They can use literature data.
You are familiar with the time management involved in writing a scientific paper.
You have gained experience in dealing with review processes and their added value.
