- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Students can describe and contextualise selected economics - related indicators (e.g. economic growth, inflation, unemployment, inequality, greenhouse gas emissions, ...) in terms of order of magnitude, historical trends and country comparisons. Students can conceptually outline how economic theories (e.g. microeconomic budget theory, economic growth models, hedonic price analyses) can be quantified using statistical methods.
They can explain and locate data on selected national and international economic indicators and visualise them using suitable software. Students can replicate selected econometric models in appropriate software and interpret empirical estimation results to quantify economic theory.
