The topic of this years spatial planning project is an impact assessment regarding the implementation of the existing densification potential (primarily building land reserves and opportunities for redensification) in the municipality of Tullnerbach (St. Pölten District, Lower Austria). The project is defined by the following questions:
To what extent can the municipality grow within its existing settlement area?
What consequences would this growth entail?
How can the municipality manage this development?

Required: Knowledge from Lecture and Project in Spatial Planning. GIS skills are essential.
- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Students identify and analyse system relations between spatial structures. They develop spatial planning solutions by applying specific planning methods and tools.
Further compentences are developed concerning the structuring of project work, the collaboration and coordination in small teams of up to 5 people as well as the written, graphical and oral presentation of results.
