The Centre for Development Research again offers interesting courses that focus on development and innovation.

“Applied Development Research” addresses Master and Doctoral students, with a special interest in development issues (food security, poverty reduction, sustainable land use) and who already had the chance to gain practical experience in the field. The course allows deeper insights into the practice of applied development research and encourages interdisciplinary approaches towards the topic. “Development Innovation” focuses on an intuitive reflection of two dominant concepts: ‘development’ and ‘innovation’. Considering continuing attempts to solve development challenges, this course wants to take a step back and explore: do we ask the right questions? Several real-world projects will serve as case studies to practice the identification of leverage points for innovation. More information: http://www.boku.ac.at/17057.html
