First prize for 2 posters from BOKU at the ELLS Scientific Student Conference 2012 - Poster exhibition in Aula Schwackhöferhaus 3.12.-7.12. and Aula Muthgasse 10.12.-14.12.

Awards for BOKU students: Two 1st prices for the best poster at the ELLS Scientific Student Conference 2012.  
  Future Cities – Future Life (Sciences) was the topic of this year’s Scientific Student Conference of the Euroleague for Life Science (ELLS), which was held at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Campus Alnarp, in Sweden from November 9 to 10, 2012. Students of the seven ELLS universities used their chance to present their projects (master or Bsc-thesis,...) to an international audience. 8 of the 45 high level oral presentations were held by BOKU students; 15 of the 52 posters came from our university. In the final award ceremony the posters of Magdalena Bauer and Katharina Slanovc from BOKU were awarded a 1st prize each for the best poster (€ 200). Congratulations! The posters of the BOKU students will now also be presented in an exhibition:

  • from December 3 to December 7 at the  Aula Schwackhöfer building
  • from December 10 to December 14 at the Aula Muthgasse.

The next Scientific Student Conference of the Euroleague for Life Sciences will be held at BOKU, November 15 to 16, 2013. Again students are warmly invited to present their theses and projects on the topic „Sustainability challenge – technological advancements and other solutions”. The application deadline for the abstracts will be in June, a course held at BOKU helps to prepare the conference. Further information is available at www.euroleague-study.org from April on.
