JRC (Joint Research Institute) and DRC (Danube Rectors' Conference) sign Letter of Intent.

On the occasion of the Annual Conference of the Danube Rectors' Conference (DRC, www.d-r-c.org), which took place from November 21st to 23rd at CULS Prague (CZ), the DRC and JRC signed a Letter of intent. Both Institutions want to work together on implementing the EU Strategy for the Danube Region and provide scientific support for this process. The cooperation will focus on the five priorities of the initiative 'Scientific Support to the Danube Strategy' as follows: Four vertical priorities:

  • environmental protection,
  • irrigation and agriculture development,
  • navigability
  • energy production;

One horizontal priority:

  • European governance, including smart specialisation.
