Dr. Habil. Reinhard Miller

Visiting professor at the Institute for Biophysics (Department of Nanobiotechnology)

Dr. Habil. Reinhard Miller is the editor of the journal Advances in Colloid Interface Science (Elsevier) and has been President of the European Colloid and Interface Society (ECIS) and the International Association of Colloid & Interface Scientists (IACIS). He has a remarkable research record with ca. 640 SCI-papers, 50 book chapters, and more than 14000 citations (H-index: 55).

Dr. Habil. Reinhard Miller studied Mathematics at the University of Rostock and Colloid Chemistry at the TU Dresden. In 1978 he got his Doctorate at the Academy of Sciences in Berlin, an institution where he also obtained his Habilitation in 1988. 

Since 1992, he has been group leader at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam/Golm. 

During his stay at BOKU he will teach the following course:

Adsorption of surfactants/proteins al liquid interfaces, kinetics, thermodynamics, interfacial visco-elasticity (LVA 803009).
