EnvStat27 – Environmental Statistics and Data Science 2027 is a focused international conference on statistical and data-scientific methods for environmental systems, with particular emphasis on water, climate and ecosystem applications.
The conference will bring together researchers and practitioners working at the interface of statistics, environmental sciences, hydrology, ecology, climate science, geosciences, environmental engineering and data science.
EnvStat27 will provide an interdisciplinary forum for exchanging methodological advances, discussing emerging environmental challenges, and fostering collaborations across scientific communities. Contributions spanning statistical methodology, computational advances, uncertainty quantification, data science and real-world environmental applications are welcome.
Main topics
- Statistical hydrology
- Geostatistics and spatio-temporal environmental modelling
- Statistics of extremes, compound events and multi-hazard risk
- Statistical learning, AI and data fusion for environmental data
- Climate-change and impact statistics, including non-stationarity and valuation
- Bayesian and hierarchical environmental modelling
- Ecological statistics, biostatistics and biodiversity modelling
Further application areas
Further application areas include droughts and low flows, floods, water quality, environmental monitoring, remote sensing, ecohydrological and aquatic systems, forest, soil and agro-environmental applications, and computational environmental statistics.
Contributions are welcome from a broad range of environmental application areas, provided they have a clear statistical, data-scientific, modelling, prediction or uncertainty-quantification component.
Organisation
EnvStat27 is organised in Vienna, Austria, and is planned in cooperation with ÖSG and IAHS-STAHY.
More information on the venue, keynote speakers, abstract submission, registration, and programme will be announced soon.
