Towards a New Radical Approach to Planning: Taking Arendt's Theory of Action Seriously
Planning is political. In order for participatory planning to actually become effective here, Arendt's non-authoritarian concept of politics, her concept of citizen power as associative-communicative political agency, will be translated for planning and tested in case studies. The aim is to develop a new approach to planning, jointly developed and experimentally tested by diverse actors.
we4DRR General Assembly 2022 was held online September 27th
women exchange for disaster risk reduction (we4DRR) is an exchange network, founded by BML and BOKU, for female experts that supports women working in research, policy and practitioners in the field of natural hazards and disaster risk reduction. The General Assembly included a keynote by Barbara Juen, a workshop by Sabine Pelzmann, poster presentations and a networking area.
Network for GenderCompetence in Planning and Engineering Sciences
The new network for gender competence in architecture landscape planning (GenderArchland), supported by four German-speaking universities (DE - Kiel University of Applied Sciences, CH - Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, AT - University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna; FL - University of Liechtenstein) starts in June.
