In the latest edition of the World University Rankings by Times Higher Education, BOKU University was included in the renowned THE World Reputation Rankings for the first time and ranked 201-300. This makes BOKU one of the 300 strongest university brands worldwide.

Our World Reputation Rankings are based on the world's largest invitation-only expert survey of academics. This survey determines the final list of the 300 most prestigious universities worldwide, based on the assessments of leading academics - the people best placed to judge academic excellence.
Highlights of the World Reputation Rankings 2025
Harvard remains number one for the 14th consecutive year and joins Oxford and Cambridge in leading a new measure of constituency diversity. This confirms Harvard's status as the most prestigious university in the USA.
Oxford now shares second place - the highest ranking for a British university since 2015.
Tsinghua University is ranked eighth worldwide in terms of academic reputation.
The top 50 strongest university brands include LMU Munich, KU Leuven, Sorbonne University, University of Melbourne, University of Hong Kong and the University of Manchester.
Ten new countries have made the leap into the ranking compared to the previous year.
Four nations are celebrating their debut in the World Reputation Rankings: Chile, Malaysia, Poland and Portugal.
