Dipl.-Ing. Gerhard Mannsberger

Dipl.-Ing. Gerhard Mannsberger was born in 1961 in Wiener Neustadt; he graduated in forestry from BOKU. After working in the private sector and as an expert in the office of the Lower Austria's Government, he became head of the Forestry Department in the Ministry of Life in 1996, where his task areas were forestry and natural hazards as well as water affairs with one-line budgeting. Gerhard Mannsberger played a key role in establishing the bioeconomy strategy of the Ministry of Life at that time and for many years has been a lecturer at BOKU on the topic of forest policy strategies in Europe.
