Research Project COMMUNITYadapt
1. Project Description
Climate change adaptability of farmers in Austria, Switzerland, and California – How agriculture can respond to the challenges of climate change
Climate change poses immense challenges for agriculture worldwide. The effects are already being felt in Austria, too: changes in growing seasons, extreme weather events, and rising temperatures are affecting the livelihoods of many farmers. But how do farmers perceive climate change, what measures are they already implementing, and how can they be better supported? The COMMUNITYadapt research project has addressed these questions and provides exciting insights and concrete recommendations for action by drawing on case studies from Switzerland (Graubünden) and California.
