The Institute of Marketing & Innovation (incl. Wood K plus) supervises Master theses within the master programs of Agricultural and Food Economy, Environment and Bio-Resources Management, Forest Sciences, Wood Technology and Management as well as Material and Energetic Exploitation of Renewable Raw Materials. For some subjects, content and/or empirical prior knowledge is required. For this reason, certain courses are defined as mandatory requirements for the Master thesis (see Guideline).
First steps for getting your supervisor:
- Choice of subject: students can either apply for advertised subjects (see Theses exchange) or bring their own topic suggestions.
- First contact: with the supervisor of an advertised subject or with a habiliated person of the institute who fits to your topic if you bring your own suggestion
- First meeting: clarification of content, methodological and temporal ideas (not a commitment of the supervisor yet!)
- Submission of the concept: based on the first meeting, you have to write a concept about your Master thesis
- Commitment of the supervisor (only after the submission of the concept!)
Further information for the organizational procedure of the supervision, for the supervision in general, for formal requirements of the Master thesis and the evaluation of your Master thesis you find below at the Guideline. Please read the documents carefully, prior to contacting the institute concerning supervision.

As an internal rule, a Master thesis must be completed within nine months after the commitment of the supervisor. At the end of the nine months, the supervision is finished.
