- Michael is an agroecologist and development researcher specialising in farm and food system transformations. Michael advances system transformation approaches and leverages convergence research to develop solutions for organisations in complex environments and the humanitarian sector. In the African drylands, Michael explores ways to transition towards circularity and reduce the reliance on humanitarian aid in areas facing high-risk and compound challenges such as drought emergencies and protracted food crises. He also cooperates with the agriculture and food industries to improve their sustainability and resilience.
