- The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in domains that have an impact on human life (agriculture, climate, forestry, health, ...) has led to an increased demand for trustworthy AI. Andreas Holzinger works in the field of interactive machine learning with the human-in-the-loop concept to promote robustness, re-traceability, explainability and thus trustworthy AI. He advocates a synergistic approach to human-centred AI to reconcile new technologies with human values, ethical principles and legal requirements to ensure safety and security.
