On the 26th of September 2019 the Institute for Transport Studies organised its 1st alumni meeting. About 20 former master and PhD students and employees attended this meeting. The current affiliation of the alumnis ranges from consulting agencies, construction, infrastructure and public transport companies to research organisations. The project EcoVeloTour (http://www.interreg-danube.eu/approved-projects/ecovelotour) was prominently presented at this event.

In EcoVeloTour a team of the Institute for Transport Studies is leading work package 3 Ecotourism planning. As part of this work a preliminary guideline for sustainable cycling tourism (http://www.interreg-danube.eu/uploads/media/approved_project_output/0001/36/cfb8514ba973699218d4caf1fb4ec0371766d5d9.pdf) has been published. This guideline will be used in the field tests scheduled for work package 4 “Ecotourism development”. If you are interested in eco- and bicycle tourism, we would be happy to hear your opinion. In case you want to give us feedback, please contact the EcoVeloTour team directly (mailto: paul.pfaffenbichler(at)boku.ac.at).
