Biography
Verena Pflug completed a master’s degree in “International Development” at the University of Vienna, focusing on the history and politics of Central America as well as on Spanish Language. During her studies she spent one year as a visiting student at the history department of the University of Costa Rica. In her diploma thesis she examined resistance practices on United Fruit Company banana plantations in Limón, Costa Rica. Verena Pflug works in the coordination and administration of a project in Nicaragua, funded by APPEAR.
