We provide students with learning opportunities on critical developments, focusing on poor and marginalised people who are engaged in agriculture and natural resources management.
We are interested in acute and future threats to livelihoods, regardless of location. Since the Centre for Development Research is an interdisciplinary institution, we offer concepts and methods that help students to understand and facilitate change in their sector of interest, such as soils, water, sanitation, agronomy, forestry and natural resource management in general.
All courses address individual and collective human behaviour as the main change variables. These basic variables behave similar in different sectors. Therefore, students can integrate their newly established knowledge about change into their ‘home discipline’.
