Biography

After her graduation in Agriculture from BOKU University Romana Roschinsky was employed as scientific staff member at BOKU’s Division of Livestock Sciences and mainly dealt with social network analysis and proposal writing. She won the BOKU DOC Grant in 2010 which supported her doctoral studies between 2010 and 2013 at the same division. The topic of her doctoral research was “Crossbreeding as innovation for smallholders in Ethiopia, Uganda and India. During her doctoral studies she could gain first experiences in teaching and the supervision of master students.

She joined the CDR in November 2013 and is conducting research and supervising master students within the EU-funded project on “Strengthening adaptive farming in Bangladesh, India and Nepal (SAF-BIN)” implemented by Caritas Austria and partners.

Her research interests include tropical livestock and farming systems, gender and climate change aspects and innovation systems.
