Atsede Desta Tegegne is a research fellow at the Centre for Development Research. She joined the Centre in March 2013.

Biography
Atsede has a M. Sc. Degree in population studies at Addis Ababa University. Her Master thesis focuses on kAP of Emergency Contraceptive among female university student. She started her job in regional urban planning institute as a socio- economist in Amhara region. Then, she joined the University of Gondar in 2011 as academic staff in the department of Population Studies. Currently, Atsede is working on her doctoral thesis on Population Change and its implication on rural livelihood in Ethiopia. Marianne Penker is her supervisor. Michael Hauser and Maria Wurzinger are here advisory team members.She receives a grant from OEAD for her doctoral study.
