Anniversary - 20 years of Kostelle
Who is the coordination office and what do we do?
As the central point of contact for issues relating to gender and diversity competence, inclusion and disability, the advancement of women, and equality, the coordination office also addresses questions of equal opportunities and protection against discrimination.
In our role as a cooperation partner, we accompany and advise on internal processes at BOKU, support the development and implementation of topic-related measures, and ensure that information is easily accessible. We coordinate, network, cooperate, inform, organize events, report, make recommendations, and document—always with the aim of strengthening a respectful, inclusive, and appreciative environment.

Unsere Vision
The diversity strategy of BOKU University was developed through a participatory process, based on a draft prepared by the Diversity Steering Group and with the involvement of key stakeholders (such as the Working Group on Equal Treatment Issues, staff representatives of both general and academic personnel, the Ethics Platform, the Students’ Union of BOKU University, the Senate, and the University Council).
On November 4, 2025, the strategy was officially adopted by the Rectorate, and on November 19, 2025, it was unanimously endorsed by the Senate. The Senate complemented its resolution with the wish that the diversity strategy will find broad application and support.
